Preparing for Olive's Birthday

At Mequon Jewish Preschool, your birthday is the day that we celebrate your unique contribution to our world.
The children gather to think about our friend.

Morah Leah said to the children,
"Let's think about our friend Olive. What does Olive love?"

The children pondered the question.
"She loves her Mama," Gavin suggested.
Yisroel Meir pointed at a sorting box. "That toy," he said.
Judah added, "She loves her dolls!"

To broaden our knowledge, we decided to research further by asking the K4 for ideas. What could we create for Olive's birthday?

We found the K4 class in the Art Atelier, preparing for Ava's birthday! The children asked for an idea, and Menucha answered, "You know those cloth dolls?" Eliana added, "You know, the one that Morah Allyson was holding?"

We loved this idea! We decided to create a doll for Olive, for her birthday.

As our process begins, we have started by choosing fabrics to make our special gift!
